Magnitude 7.1 earthquake strikes New Zealand

New Zealand’s Kermadec Islands saw a 6.8 magnitude quake in the early hours today, according to the National Centre for Seismology. The quake struck at a depth of 41 kilometres. A tsunami warning was issued after the quake. This is the second quake faced by the Kiwi nation in this year.
