The Election Commission will meet the secretaries of the political parties next week

The Election Commission will meet the secretaries of the political parties on next Wednesday to discuss the upcoming Local Government Election.
Meanwhile, The Election Commission focused on the delay in releasing funds for the Local Government and the relevant measures that need to be taken on the matter. At its meeting held today, the commission has decided to grant a time period of 14 days to the political parties to submit the financial statements of the same. The commission further requests the media not to accept the media announcements released unless they bear the signature of the Commissioner General of elections.
