A flight carrying 150 Chinese tourists is to be arrived in the island at the Katunayake airport from Shanghai this evening. The Tourism Promotion Bureau expresses confidence that over 500,000 Chinese tourists will visit Sri Lanka this year. The Chinese government has lifted Covid restrictions and allowed their people to visit several countries including Sri Lanka easing travel restrictions.
