Lanka Hospitals reaches the milestone of 1,500 IVF baby deliveries
Lanka Hospitals, the internationally-accredited multiple award-winning healthcare provider has reached a milestone with the delivery of the 1,500th IVF baby. Lanka Hospitals’ Fertility Centre made the announcement at an event to mark the occasion recently.

In Vitro Fertilisation, commonly known as IVF, is a treatment method that assists couples who experience subfertility. During an IVF procedure an egg is harvested from a woman’s ovaries and fertilised with a sperm of the male partner in an IVF laboratory to produce a baby. Lanka Hospitals’ Fertility Centre has been one of the pioneers in IVF and other fertility treatments in Sri Lanka.
