The government has focused attention to send Sri Lankan skilled workers for job opportunities in Iran. A discussion in this connection was held in Colombo yesterday between Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva and Sri Lankan Ambassador to Iran Vishwanath Aponsu. The Ambassador has agreed to hold talks with the Iranian government to get job opportunities for Sri Lankans in six major ports in Iran. The Minister says that several groups of skilled workers can be sent to Iran within the first half of next year.
