Steps will be taken to enhance facilities at the passenger terminal of the Colombo Harbour. Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva said that the aim is to provide necessary facilities for foreign tourists who are arriving in the country. During an inspection tour of the Colombo Harbour yesterday he said that arrival of cruise ships has stopped due to the Covid pandemic and economic crisis. He said the project to enhance facilities at the harbour will be implemented targeting the forthcoming tourist season. Measures will be taken to provide a resting hall with modern facilities, sanitary facilities, a duty free shopping complex and transport.
