Sri Lanka is at the 31st place at the Commonwealth Games medal table

Sri Lanka finish their campaign of Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham with 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Yupun Abeykoon won the bronze medal in Men’s 100m, while para-athlete Palitha Bandara secured a silver medal in Men’s Discus Throw, making them the first ever Sri Lankan medal winners in their respective events at the Commonwealth Games.
The third bronze medal for Sri Lanka was won by 18 year old Wrestler Nethmi Ahinsa Fernando. It was the first time that Sri Lanka received a medal for wrestling at the Commonwealth Games and local history. She beat former commonwealth runner up Irene Symeonidis of Australia in the Women’s 57KG Bronze medal encounter.
Sri Lanka is at the 31st place at the medal table while Australia lead the 67 gold medals.
