President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed the Cabinet of Ministers that he will accept the sole responsibility for the proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution. Meanwhile Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said the committee appointed to study and provide recommendations pertaining to the proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution did not present its report to the Cabinet of Ministers, yesterday. Speaking after the Cabinet meeting yesterday, Minister Amaraweera said discussions were held pertaining to the enactment of the new Constitutional Amendment. Minister Amaraweera also said a new Constitution will be formulated promptly. He added the President will address all shortcomings of the new Constitutional Amendment.
